"SEE us BEFORE YOU NEED us"
Emily received a Master of Arts with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from North Carolina Central University.
She enjoys working with children and adults on their process of self-awareness to feel more in control of their thoughts and emotions. She has experience working with survivors of domestic abuse as well as other forms of trauma including developmental, sexual, physical and emotional trauma. Additionally, she works with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges, and other difficult life transitions. Her goal is to provide a supportive and empathetic environment for clients to explore their concerns while facilitating clients’ awareness of their personality.
Emily has a particular interest in attachment patterns, family dynamics, and personality development. She uses play therapy to assist with the healing process with children, and Somatic Experiencing techniques to heal past traumas.
